I'm done with my new system, but now that I have almost no need for these forums, everytime I log onto the internet an alluring voice in my head forces my fingers to type A*N*A*N*D*T*E*C*H and press ctrl+enter. I can't help it! It's like a drug! Is anyone wlse experiencing simaler symptoms?
 
It happens, get used to it 😀
I had only 70 or so posts last year before I upgraded, now I already have a lot more this year and my upgrade is complete !!
 
hahaha...i had less than 50 posts for first few years...and just last year i have over 1500 posts...so...that tells u alot...

I'm gonna answer that for you 😛 Because in your every day life you deal with people who either don't share you interest, don't understand WTF you're talking about, or ask how to defrag their HDD or some other inane question, where as when you come to AT you find that intellectually and technically fulfilling discourse you seek, and many of the computer questions asked can be complex and involved and require extensive knowledge and TS to address. Of course there are those mundane questions from n00bs but that's what makes you a valuable member of the E-community here, helping those who need it most 😉 :beer:

It takes me about .25 seconds to type www.anandtech.com and takes my cable about .75 seconds to open up the page. Moving from the page to the forum button takes about .50 seconds and clicking today is another .50 seconds. It takes me a total of 2 seconds to get going everytime IE is opened.
 
It's on my 'Links' bar in IE, right in the middle. It's wearing out in the center from the clicking and may need replacing soon....

yeap....in my first year i had only 15 posts......in the last 6 months i have.....x-15 posts where x is the current postcount.....wow.....what an increment🙂
 
It's worse than crack!

Can't seem to shake it either....AND I have this insatiable urge to constantly swap components....
 
this has been my classroom for the last 5 or so months... i have learned invaluable info here. ALL FREE!!! ( i will be supporting anandtech monetarily just as soon as i get a job again :| f!ckin economy )

i built a sweet little machine, etc, for the first time because of the quailty ( and patience ) of the people that populate this forum ( asusboards too, of course. )...
