I think I used to have a Porpoise

Does anybody else think they hear Trent sing "I think I used to have a porpoise" in the song "Everyday is Exactly the Same". They have been playing the song on the radio a lot here and I really like it, but I swear he says porpoise. I'm sure the lyrics are "purpose" but everytime I hear porpoise.

I read it as:
"I think I used to have a Porpoise
Now I'm nothing"
I guess I was expecting a YAPT about a painful breakup with a porpoise. This is almost as good, although it didn't fulfill my voyeuristic desire to hear about a man's love for a porpoise.
