Hey guys,

Was doing squats at the gym today, it was my 4th set and had 200 pounds on. Did 3 and on the 4th my back got owned. Lower back.

I felt a pain then stopped my squats, but it wasn't that bad so I contined with my other leg stuff light weight and using machines.

I went to work and the day went pretty good, I felt my lower back wasn't 100 % but I thought it would heal...

Anyways, I came home, took a nap, and when I woke up I couldn't get up from my bed...the pain was crazy!

What do you guys think it is? Pulled muscle? Or something more serious?

I'm 6 foot and 275 pounds, pretty buff.

I can walk around, crouch, squat, even bend down and almost touch my toes, so I don't think a disc popped out or anything? Just muscle?

Also, I think the reason I owned myself is because I woke up at 5 am today (went to sleep at 7 pm last night super early) and I went to the gym in the morning. Never did that before, probably wasn't properly warmed up not to mention my body just got out of bed 30 minutes ago etc...

Happens to me sometimes. Hurts like hell, doesn't it? Throbbing pain and stiffness, then it's the muscle. It's usually caused by lifting weight improperly or too quickly.

Take an extra strength pain reliever for starters, and some ice to relieve the swelling. The rest is just rest. Not much you can do until it heals.

How long does it take to heal in your experience?

A couple of days to a week, depending on how severe. If it doesn't go away after a week, see a doctor.

...Just as long as it's not NoReMoRsE. He's not checking for cauda equina and that's not a colonoscope.
