So,

A little history... I just OC'd my CPU to 3.2ghz and it has been running fine + stable

Today my HR-03GT arrived, and I was poking around with the PC on to see how i might mount it.

I think i accidentally touched the block on the back of the gpu.. I am guessing it conducts and shorted something.

So, after i put the cooler away i see my monitor is blank. I reboot, pure artifacts on screen. Do hard reboot and its fine, so I got rid of my OC just in case that was the problem.

System is fine, gaming I haven't tried yet. Could there be any permanent damage from what happened?

What do you mean by the block on the back of the gpu?

Also make sure that the card is seated correctly. Just make sure that when you touch your computer components that the power plug is pulled out of the psu.

by block i mean the base of the new heatsink (not the fin area) touched the back of the card (opposite of where the gpu core is)
