I think I have.. sleeping problems?

This doesn't happen often, but it happened last night.. as usual I went to sleep but for some reason it felt like I was awake, and I could see my body but I tried moving my arms and legs to wake up.. but they just wouldn't move.

It's as if I'm staring at myself sleeping and trying to move my arms and legs but something mentally is keeping me asleep.. and not letting me move my arms and legs.. I try as hard as I can to move my arms and legs but it's like my body is restricting me from moving at all..

Maybe I spend too much time on the computer?

During a certain phase of sleep your brain paralyzes your muscles so you can't move. Happens occasionally to me in the morning, usually ending with me practically jumping out of bed.

Astral Projection?

I've heard of people's minds waking up before their body wakes up. I haven't experienced it before but I'm guessing it would be a really scary thing to go through.

Even though it would never happen, I wouldn't want myself unable to prevent someone from murdering me in my sleep.. damn I hate it.

I don't quite understand your description, but are you sure you were awake? I've had this happen to me a couple times when I was younger, but I still don't know whether I was actually awake or whether I was dreaming that I woke up and couldn't move...

I think I was asleep, but it felt like my eyes were open and I could think and I told myself to move my arms and legs but they just wouldn't... and I kept doing it

Yep, the same with me.

The funnier thing would be that your hands and legs would feel numb. You could also be hallucinating at the same time (a fragment of your dream still continuing while in this state?)

The funniest thing is that I could compose the most beautiful music in my mind while in this state. However I would forget the tune the moment I woke up from it.

Call me crazy, but I loved it and wish it would happen often.

You were not asleep, you were awake. You experienced what is called sleep paralysis.

"In a typical sleep-paralysis episode, a person wakes up paralyzed, senses a presence in the room, feels fear or even terror, and may hear buzzing and humming noises or see strange lights."

This is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME.

Even I used to panic the initial few times. But once I became used to it. I loved it.

But it does not happen to me anymore, can I borrow yours?

I loved it again because it was almost like a free high!!!!

I wish I would give it everytime I wake up from asleep and for long as I like.

Do not get afraid by it, after a while you would grow to like it

It's happened to me, especially if I slept on my stomach, sometimes my nose would be smothered and I couldn't move to breathe properly.
