I think I have hit a plateau...

I have been running about 3 miles a day, 6 days a week, for several months now. I've lost a little fat, which is what I am out to lose, but it's all starting to come back now. So I am guessing I hit a plateau, and my routine is no longer working. Because I haven't changed anything else.
I love doing cardio, but I hate lifting weights, althought I do it a few times a week anyway. But I was thinking of may'be getting a little variation in my routine. Is bike riding as effective as running/jogging when it comes to cardio? Will I have to ride longer to equal the same effects of running 3 miles? Will it work my body in a different way, so that I might get that variation my body needs?

You need to keep doing the running, and change up the weight lifting. Running is much more effective in less time than biking is.

The main point is that you won't gain weight if you don't eat food that would cause you to gain weight, especially if you're active. It's always good to change up your lifting routine regularly. It's easy to plateu with weights if you do the same exercises every time you lift.

So, check your diet first. Make sure you're eating low calorie and non fat foods, or foods very low in saturated fat. Eat small portions, and spread them out to 5 or 6 small meals a day.

If you are exercising that much and still putting on fat then checking your your food intake is the way to go.

I don't eat fried food, everything I eat is either low-cal or non-fat. I drink almost nothing but water. Sometimes I have coffee or diet coke, I eat several small meals a day. I might eat a little too much though, when it comes to carbs. I can't help it, I love bread. But only wheat bread.
I was thinking about purchasing some appetite suppressants. Not diet pills that speed up my metabolism, just something to help me control my hunger. I don't eat alot of bad food, I eat alot of good food. But I am always hungry. Hunger pain hungry.
