BTW , if this turns out bad , it's the first one in 3 years @ about $30.00
I've been trading on the trade forum here at Anandtech w/ZERO problems for 2years .

Ok , I bid on an item on Ebay & have yet to recieve . Last email I got from this guy was on the 14th saying that he had recieved the Money Order the 13th & will send it out the 15th Priority Mail . I have sent numerous friendly emails asking what's up & if he had a hold up to let me know . I have not heard a PEEP from this idiot since . I also noticed on Ebay he's starting to get NEGATIVE feedback all of a sudden . http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=insanitoyz

If anyone can get me a Telephone number for this guy , I will glady call him :)

Ron Twoeagle (not sure if twoeagle is two words)
703 E. Magnolia Ave. Apt C
Burbank , CA 91501

If anyone can give me any info on how to proceed , I would greatly appreciate this . First time burned with Ebay & would like to know my options .

Thanks ....................... CC

that sucks...I tried doing a lookup on whitepages.com, but there is no R Twoeagle listed anywhere in CA. You might want to get ahold of trollhunters to see if they can help you out at all

You are most likely screwed. I believe Ebay charges $25 to recover funds from fraud. Only thing you can do is leave negative feedback and file complaints with Ebay against him.

Same thing happened to me but it was for ~$150. The person had good feedback then about 24hrs after I paid I started to see negs show up. Turns out it was a hijacked account. I paid by paypal and ended up just having my CC co. reverse the charges.

Chances are if they said the sent it, and you haven't gotten it when you should have, there's no chance you'll see it. But because it's a matter of principal, you gotta track this sucker down.

Contact the troll hunters first off. Tell them every last detail you can find and they will be able to get you started.

Second, if it's been well over two weeks since you've heard anything, I think that warrants posting his username so we all know not to deal with him until the issue is resolved. Third, PM the AT Mod (if you don't post his username) so the mod can put a red flag up on his account.

From there, just start seeing what you can dig up on the guy... put his name into a Yahoo people search and see if you can get a number, or do a reverse look up.

You might try checking some other forum's FS/FT corners to see if anyone else is expecting stuff, or if anyone else has info.

Sometimes people who get their email from a place also have a webpage with that place. Check into that based on the domain in his email. You might find out more about him if he has a personal site up.

Edit: Oh, this was from an ebay transaction, I got the impression it was the FS/FT from your first para

Just another thought, if you are that worried, you should send a certified letter to his house, so that he must sign for it. In the letter, say that if he does not contact you in 3 days that you will contact his local police department or something. You may also try contacting the other people that left him negatives and see if they've turned up anything.

This is what p!ss's me off.

I'm really not suprised not more sh!t like this happens.

A guy pretends to sell stuff then just doesn't send it and rips the buyer off. If ebay charge $25 to go and get the money that is focked.

Hey also if you get this guy's number what are you going to do? You can't threaten the guy if he goes to the cop your BUSTED, for threatening the guy. What CAN MAKE him pay up legally? Taking him to court is a lot more $$$ then you'd probably paid for the item....so much BS.

Anyway CorCentral I hope you get your money back but with ebay charing $25 it is crappy...

Don't let yourself fall for any BS. I mean, unless he's physically imcapable of getting the package out, he has an obligation to send it to you because he posted the auction link. I bet his problem didn't stop him from cashing the money order.
