I was walking through Buffalo with my cousin and a couple friends. I remember coming out of a store and having my wallet, then I remember running into someone while I was walking, then when I get home I couldn't find my wallet anywhere. :(

Now I have to replace all my cards and stuff in my wallet. *sigh*

Inner coat pocket is the second worst place to keep it according to professional pick pockets.

Well, you should've put a large steel chain around your wallet like those punk and emo kids.

That's why you keep your wallet in your front pocket when you're in a suspicious area. But...if someone runs into me, I'm always sure to check my goods. I've seen a few too many movies to let that crap slide.

Ehh better than the first am I right, also let me clarify that my inner coat pocket has a zipper which I'm sure make it more difficult to get at

Not exactly true, but this is most likely the best defense other than having your money tight folded in your butt crack;)

Right I understand now....too bad I didn't think of it. I have been only living in the city for a short while. I moved from the middle of nowhere where people can take for granted leaving their house or their car unlocked. So, this definitely came as a rude awakening to me.

I've read that it's a good idea to keep photocopies of everything in your wallet - front and back - in a safe place. Makes it easier to call all the credit card companies when you have their phone number (on the back of the card) and your card number handy.
