I think I got bitten by a spider

I read up on it and the symptoms and images seem to match up.

I haven't seen any spiders in my place and I'm 14 stories up, but this seems to be the only logical conclusion.

I'm not too worried as it seems to be localized (as in, it's not growing in size and seems to be going through a "healing" process), although it does hurt if I touch it.

Online, it said the healing time for an average spider bite can take months, and there aren't really any treatments for it.

It's on my leg, and mostly I just don't want it to leave a scar. Are there any creams I can apply to that end? Does keeping it very sanitized (i.e. washing, scrubbing) do any good?

I think I had a similar spider bite on my leg probably over a month ago and it has still not completely healed. Started out thinking it was a zit but it got bigger and grosser until it eventually popped, scabbed, and is now retreating but waaaay longer than any normal pimple would have taken

Nice to know what I have in store for me. You didn't do anything to treat it?

People get spider bites all the time while they are asleep. Most of them look like large acne under the skin and are more painful. I notice one every now and then on my back. They take longer to heal than typical acne, but you don't need to do anything special. If you see any other symptoms other than what is common with acne or if it is abnormally large then you may want to look into it more.

Those are actually rarely spider bites, by they are arknoid bites. If they are in a row there are probably feeding bites. Spiders tend to only bite when caught in clothing, most nightime bites are from things 'feeding' (yes, yuck)

So should I be concerned about my bed?

Should I get it sprayed/cleaned/disinefected?

Just make sure that I get the other suit, the black one.

On a more serious note, go get it checked out by a doctor, make sure the bite doesn't carry any flesh eating bacteria or you may end up having to amp...

Oops, I said too much. /suspenseful music.

I was bit recently as well. Woke up a bump that was really sensitive to the touch. Ended up with the usual nastiness and remained red in the area for a month or so with a halo around it. Still hasn't completely gone away...

If its reoccuring you should look into it as you may have a localized infection, if its a one time thing, well bugs get in sometimes...

I had one when I was younger that did take many months to fully heal. No scar that I've noticed.
