I think I got a virus from a USB device; need help

First, is this possible? The device was a Lego Mindstorms unit that can be programmed from the PC via a USB link.

If it is possible, could the virus have infected my Logitech G500 mouse which is also programmable?

I really don't want to infect another computer.

If it does, then it potentially could get infected.

A USB mouse, unless it also shows up as a Mass Storage Device as well as a mouse, then no, it cannot get infected.

They called autorun.inf a likely virus. That's nowhere near the case. It's just an autolauncher for whatever program is on the drive. It can launch a virus, or a portableapps menu, amongst other things. Of course autorun should be disabled for all media types, but they shouldn't get people worried over potentially nothing.

Since virus will be triggered the moment you open your flash drive, I suggest you do it first on the command prompt. You can see the open your files here, without waking up the malware, and delete the virus.
