I think I got a trojan...

Hi guys,

After booting up my PC (Windows 8.1) this morning I noticed a small window come up briefly after logging in - it looked like one of those magnifier apps showing a small part of the desktop, but the image was horribly compressed and it was scanning my desktop diagonally. After a couple moments it was gone. I rebooted a few times hoping to take a screenshot, but it never came up again. I looked thorough Resource Monitor but haven't found anything suspicious. Avast full scan returned nothing. I'm going to scan with Malware Bytes when I get back from work, but I don't expect it to find anything since there's nothing out of place in the process list and neither in the usual Startup places. Also after one of the reboots the graphics driver (latest AMD Catalyst beta) started crashing in an infinite loop. Any ideas?

After scanning with Malware Bytes Anti-Malware and Anti-Rootkit the only suspicious thing found was OutBrowse. I checked network and process activity with Resource Monitor again and still nothing. Will have to trawl through the logs.

Display distortion and "the graphics driver started crashing in an infinite loop" are likely the same issue. Either a bad driver or failing video card.

Why not give us a screen shot of it? Malwarebytes is not almighty to catch every single virus for you and the virus can disguise its process files as your system processes. So you need to check your system for it, otherwise it may download other Trojans on your PC.
