i had a few beers and i noticed thru my case's window on the side that there was a pci/agp slot bracket missing, so dust would be getting in the case, i guess i forgot to put it back on last time i was working on it. so being impaired from the alcohol i tried to put it back on while the system was still ON, it slipped out of my hand and touched the motherboard right above the bottom pci slot and sparks shot. no smoke. the system stayed on, but the cpu fan had stopped so i quicked cut the power. all it does now is when i turn it on, the case power LED blinks for a few seconds, the fans all turn on for a few seconds, and it turns off, there is still lights that are on the motherboard though. the red leds near the bottom pci slot, which are diagnostic i guess have only 1 lit. im pretty sure the motherboard got fried, ive tested the power supply and it seems fine. i have a new mobo on the way and it will be here tomorrow, now the main question is, did i ruin my cpu, ram, hard drives, video card, or tv tuner in anyway? or were they somehow protected? i hope the mobo is the only thing i ruined. thanks in advanced guys
