I think I found a bug in MS IE 6.

when saving an image (a page with just a picture - no html) it seems to try to save it as BMP even though the source image is a jpg.

bah!

What the difference between Firefox and the Browser standalone from a Mozilla install? They are based on the same thing sbut work differently somehow? DO plugins for one work with the other or are they now two totally separate browsers?

No, it does that. Does it with some gif files too. Doesn't do it all the time. You can reproduce it by going here:

Right click on the round icons at the top of the page and try saving the image.

They'll save as BMP's even though they're gif files.
They all saved as GIF for me.

Same here. Anyone have another site where they KNOW this bug always happens?

It's never happened to me.

Doesn't happen on all the PC's in our office, just some. It's a pain to fix, so we just live with it (we don't save graphics often).
