I think I deleted my Sound driver??

Hi Guys,

Sorry to be a pest but I was cleaning my programs up in add an remove programs and I think I deleted my sound driver. I have an ASUS P4PE-X mother board. I was thinking of re-installing the mobo driver but am scared that I will screw something up. Any suggestions. Sorry to be a noob

If you're scared to re-install. Then just do a Restore.

Ya so I'm not to sure what a restore is. That like re-installing my OS. For what I can tell in the Device Manager. I have deleted my multiedia Audio Controller driver. I tried to roll back driver but won't work. Same thing with Update Driver. The problem is my system came wiht XP instaled on it so that would mean OME. Well this past summer I reformated HD and my friend instaled a burnt copy of XP. So updates don't work for me. Bah any suggestions

Go to the ASUS.com website, click on downloads. Input your particular motherboard. Look for sound driver, download sound driver, click on .exe and install the driver. That should be it. It's rather quick and painless.
