The problem is about a month ago I was talking to some one about how excited I am to vote but she told me that i cant because Ill be 17 when i register is this true?

This is my first time voting so I have no idea how, do I just show up at the place my neighborhood is assigned?

Ill be 18 in October
i live in Georgia

you have to register first, most places require you to register 30 days before the election
some states have a shorter time

you should be able to register as long as your birthday is before Nov. 4 2008

you register at your county court house or the DMV and some counties have other locations, but the county courthouse is the sure thing
look up voter registrar in the phone book under your county govt. section

yes, in 2000 i was living in GA and since I knew the state would go to GWB, i voted for the Libertarian candidate
