If you can make it through the first 3 years of prerequisites, then you get to start doing the fun stuff. 😛

The company I'm working at is currently deploying in the field secure, multi-gigabit, wide bandwidth, live video & voice over IP that can support multiple users (greater than 10+, can't give you exact number of I'd have to kill you) using point-to-point, line-of-sight, and satellite uplinks all in real time.
We saw a demo about a week ago, and man, it's impressive. Nodes can come in, drop out, and is very robust in how it handles its users.

One of my best friends is working for this guy on his M.S., or rather for one of his post-docs. He (Laskar) is really busy and is never around, flying across the country for research proposals and such. I met him when I was a prospective grad student, and he's in charge of 20 students, wants them all to go for Ph.D. (more glory for him). I thought he was kinda an arse, not really interested in the student's personal goals.
I'm a grad student in ECE at GATech, and a lot of my friends are GT undergrads..lemme know if you have any questions. I went to Texas A&M for undergrad so I have a prospective on two top 15 engineering universities..

ehh, it's not that bad, we're using a camera to control a maze to navigate a marble from start to end, it's pretty cool, we're using real-time software also

neat.
I'm technically still doing the basics....that "daze" put me back quite a bit and I still have to take dynamics this summer among other classes. Cool part is that I am considering taking two extra classes which will add an associates in mechanical to my resume😀...not sure just yet if I can afford it, and mechanical is not my field, but you never know...
Honestly, I just like engineering in general, so it might be nice to branch out in it... the classes are supposed to be really brutal though...

Personally, I think it's great that you're perfectly comfortable with the fact that you're pretty much a complete douche and no one likes you.

Yup, that's what I said.
The other day, a friend who recently moved to Austin was telling me "Man, at UT, people drink for fun. At Tech, we used to drink to drown out our misery." Made me LOL

it's just all math, it's not really as bad as people say, but i love calculus so maybe i'm just weird. but it's really cool when it all comes together in your senior year, i'm using everything i learned from my first class to my last class.
