I think I am addicted to eBay

Well i have had an account since Jan 2002, but i never bought anything.

But the other day i needed a data cable for my new cell phone (made a post about it the other day) so i got it, but the thing is - it was so easy, and so much cheaper than anywhere around here.

Now:

Am i getting into something that i should re-think? (the whole addiction) :p

Today i got some CHEAP and perfect birthday presents for my girlfriend (she loves Snow White)

so i bought from someone that has like 8000 feedbacks and 99.7% is positive. I think i am pretty safe.

Reason i say this is because the main reason for not doing anything on e-bay is because of fraud. But because people have such high raitings and exactly what i want, i thought i give it a try.

I just been getting things well under 10 bucks,

but what should i also be thinking about, when i want to buy things on ebay?

So far, its been so easy, and very nice :)

Thanks

Ebay is cool for both buyers and sellers
you can always find some really cheap deals there
You should also think about the joy when you receive your items

Yep, just ordered an articulating, tilting wall mount for my 30" LCD for $10 less than anywhere else.

And hundreds less than what Fry's was selling them for.

ive been selling stuff on craigslist (i dont have any feedback on ebay so i thought nobody would buy)

one deal went great last night, sold a nice college kid my speakers, reciever & ps2 + games, smooth transaction, paid in cash, easy as pie.

then I got greedy and tried to sell my 65" TV late at night so I could just be over with it.

I wont bore you with the details but i met 2 guys outside in a van (said he was coming alone) smelled a shady situation, so i told them the deal was off after a lot of uncomfortable arguing, got out of the van and went inside. i was ready to stab the passenger in the neck with a knife in my side...not exactly the most calm situation.

Anyways now the guy is calling my phone non stop (both lines with blocked numbers) saying that i tried to "jack him". He says "his brother is with the police, I am being investigated and should be expecting a visit from him" (for what? getting out of a van of strangers i did not feel comfortable in?) lol

(before someone chimes in about local secuirty or the LAPD, useless as always. I just have several nights of blocked calls and threatening messages to look forward to.

ahhhhh.....craiglist....

sniping is when you put a bid in the final seconds to make sure you win. It beats the whole point because if you want to pay a certain price, then pay the certain price and make it your ceiling.
