Did you ever thought of removing or keeping your expensive belongings to a safer place?

OK, the "God" reference was made with my tongue firmly in my cheek. Sheesh. It's a fvcking joke people. Have we, as a country, really gotten so damn stupid that we don't recognise that a statement like mine is obviously not serious?Originally posted by: loic2003
You got unlucky, this has nothing to do with 'god'.
You should have put more effort into getting your camera back from the garage, too.
Must be nice to be rich enough to have a car that you never drive but instead just let sit in the garage.Originally posted by: thehstrybean

Yup. Sound Ford in Renton Washington. My own fault, I'd had it with me in the loaner car (took it to work that morning because the co-workers wanted some pictures of a work event) and forgot to take it out when I dropped off the car.Originally posted by: GalvanizedYankee
Sorry to hear it. You might find Contax camera repair in the back section of Shutterbug, it can be bought at most any B&N.
Please tell us that the 8080 was stolen at a Ford dealership.

I left it in the loaner car. I'd been using it that day and needed it with me. I've never said it wasn't at least partially my fault for leaving it in the car.Originally posted by: pontifex

Oh, sure, you think you can hide your obviously pro-Satanist agenda behind Beelzebub's own subtitle. For the thick-headed, the "God" reference is a JOKE. Sheesh.
Did you ever thought of removing or keeping your expensive belongings to a safer place?

A camera is pretty much worthless if you don't keep it with you. That means taking some risks with it. Pros will take $5,000+ cameras out in hurricanes to get the right shot. Cameras just aren't something that you can coddle. If you're worried about something happening to the camera, you'll miss the shot.
Doesn't mean that I don't have the right to vent about my own foolishness. Nor does it absolve whoever stole the camera.
And if you have to worry about what you have in your car when you take it to the shop, you're going to the wrong shop.
