I think Expedia and Orbitz sells your e-mail address

I've been heavily spammed for the past couple of weeks. The only sites that I registered for was expedia.com and orbitz.com. So it has to be those two. I thought those sites were at least reputable, guess I was wrong.
 
do u remember if there were any options that let u opt out of having ur email address shared with their "partners"?
 
If it's a large, commercial site you can pretty much take it for granted that they are going to sell your information. Orbitz is a combination of the airlines and Expedia is Microsoft. They don't care about you except for how to make a profit.

Yeah there was an option to opt out in both sites. Of course I said no. Obviously, they don't care all that much about whether you say yes or no.
