I think babies are ugly and creepy, is something wrong with me?

We just got an email from our manager that a coworker out on maternity leave had her baby, and a picture of the baby. I opened it up (knowing full well I would get grossed out when I saw it, but looked because she was my cube mate for over 2 years), and when I saw the baby I thought "that kid looks like it has down syndrome" and it was gross.

I heard everybody around me saying "awww, how cute", "such a pretty baby", etc. Is something wrong with my head that makes me think babies are ugly and gross?

To an extent I agree. I also thing most other animal babies are the cutest things ever. Strange, huh?

I also dislike babies, and I also get grief from my coworkers when they bring their crotchfruit in and I want nothing to do with it.

Puppies/kittens/most animals babies are definitely cute (polar bears? zomg cute), but human babies are ugly.

Just say the baby is 'breathtaking'. The mother will know what you mean but will appreciate the veiled compliment.

That has to be the most annoying thing EVER. I HATE hearing these stupid ass little babies in the office crying and shit, while most the department goes "awwww so cute" and run over there.

Wait until you have a kid of your own. Your opinion will change.
Some babies are cute, others are not. You will always think your own kid is cute regardless.
And a lot of people say "cut baby" just to be polite even if the kid is anything but.

While I may have upon occasion thought "cut baby", I have never once said it aloud. Our society just doesn't go for stuff like that.

Babies under 6 months are strange looking. It's not until they get a little older that their features fill out a bit and they start to look really cute, IMO.

As a parent, you think your kid is the cutest creature ever when he/she is first born. Looking back at my son's newborn pictures now, though, he was definitely funny looking for the first few months.

It's ok, newborns don't look very human.

Another baby-hater here. Horrible things. I always make sure I'm nowhere to be found when the baby pictures go around the office.

Every once in a while, a baby comes along that's cute... Sorta.

I agree, mostly. I don't like babies.
