I always wanted a Gran turismo like PC game. Since the Sim Bin titles looks so incredibly old. I made do with F1, Dirt, Grid etc on PC.
I also have the sim bin stuff, for more realistic driving experience. However, I have to say, very glad I pre purchased assetto corsa, even though it's only during development.
I've just finished thrashing a Mclaren mp4-c GT3 car around Mugello, and it's the best driving experience on a game I've ever had. The normal cars, like the 458, Lotus', regular Mp4-c, can be fun, but you have to be cautious and careful with the power, and also the line and speed, as the outright grip isn't too good.
As you'd expect, the GT3 McLaren is amazing, the brakes, steering, grip, and sheer amount of speed you can carry through a bend. A very good experience. If anyone else is after something like this, I do recommend giving it a try. Now I've never driven super cars, so I can't comment on realism, but it at least seems to be a real good attempt to replicate real life driving, at least compared to other PC titles.
