About a week ago, I sold a box of computer junk on eBay. Odds and ends from projects and upgrades that were worth almost nothing. Packed them all up in a printer box, weighed it, and listed it on eBay.
Among the items was a small cardboard box (about 6x9x3) of miscellaneous DIMM's. It still had my address on it from when I got whatever was originally in the box, along with a postage bar code from September 2004 (but no cancelation stamp...dunno how I got it the first time.)
Anyway, Delivery Confirmation told me 2 days ago that the parcel had been delivered. No communication from buyer, so I thought everything was cool.
Well, in my mailbox today was the box of DIMMS! Completely intact/nothing wrong.
So I email the buyer. He said he wondered where they were and thought maybe I shipped them in another box.
Well, I think the buyer left them out on his table and his wife picked them up and dropped it off at the postoffice or something. But he says he never got them.
The parcel was sent insured, but he said all the tape on the box was OK and my label (which overlapped the top wings of the box) was not tampered with.
So here I set with a box of DIMMS I can't get rid of. It's like the Twilight Zone or something.
What do you think happened? Postal service decided to inspect my package and didn't put everything back?
