I tend to agree. I prefer most middle aged. 18 is about as old as I'll go as a regular thing, though I'll get older just for the experience.

Dalmore 12yr. Should be less than $30. Highland Park 12yr is a favorite also. Can't remember how much, but it should be less than $40.

Edit:
At the $60 mark, you're pretty much getting the best available. Paying over $60 for anything doesn't buy flavor. At that point your paying for the experience, which is fine, but the flavor doesn't justify the cost.
