I swear to god i have ADD

TallBill

Lifer
I'm 21 years old and never been checked for ADD, but my lord I'm shaky. (my life)

Im constantly in motion, throwing things around, multitasking, dont complete stuff, dont start stuff.

i've been in and out of 2 colleges and worked 2 jobs in the last 3 years.

I've been "cleaning" my room for like 8 hours and have done about 15 minutes of work.

Just about the only thing im consistant with is my work with the Army, hence me switching to active duty. Its almost like nothing else feels important enough for me to stick with.

Sounds like me... I've been working on my "English project" for the past 6 hours and I've read 4 pages, but posted plenty on ATOT.

I havnt even had a good distraction. Just done "nothing"

comes in handy during extremely boring car rides or whatnot.. i can blow infinite amount of time

I'm the exact same way, but its only scholarly. I work like theres no tomorrow in my jobs, but when I try to study/do homework, NOTHING gets done. It definately doesn't help that i'm 2500mi away from home at Georgia Tech and homesick as hell.

Sweet! I want to learn... so I can learn to deal with lines, waiting for the intarweb, and car rides... maybe boring 2 hour government lectures.

It's okay I didn't get any sleep one night and stared at the ceiling and all I remember is the sun rising and changing colors on my ceiling.

This is a classic case of ATOT Addiction.

I believe there is no known antidote.

I am sorry to inform you of this.

see a shrink, get diagnosed, and with the right combo of meds/therapy you'll see improvement in no time. The key is taking it one step at a time until you get the meds. Make it a point to see a shrink no matter what, let that be the most important thing in your life to do.

Sounds familiar. I just read the P&N forum for the whole night (in Finland). 6 hours blew past me like it was 6 minutes, I can only remember couple threads and funny posts. Once I stared the screen whole time my 120 gig drive was defragging, must have taken couple of hours, but all I remembered was pushing start and then when it was done.

I meant the most important thing is to see the shrink to get diagnosed so you can get the meds. Procrastination is public enemy number one.
