Sometimes, when NPR gets boring, I switch my mp3 player to 104 KRBE and listen to their morning show on the bus.

I swear the guy on the radio must post on fark or anandtech OT or something because he uses all the news things off this site and he even uses the Churk N$#@##$ thing.

Anybody else from Houston think this?

His DJ name is Atom Smasher.
 
Remember that audio clip of that guy singing to his girlfriend on their 6-month anniversary or something? He was all high pitched and whiny, and was talking about how much her loved her, how their hands were the same size, then broke out into some "All my life.. I've waited for someone like you.." I think the story was that she broke with him after getting it. It was on here and a few other places ont he net several months ago.

Anyway, the DJ on the local pop station played that the other day, with the story that "this just happened to a friend of his, and she just gave him the CD he made." I'm like, WTF? He just grabbed some old sh1t off the internet and decided to make it a personal story? How fvcking lame is that?
 
Interesting though, I bet there are at least a few really well known people who post here, but do so anonymously.

I guess they are just "Geeks" like the rest of us. 😛

I think that was part of the problem, it generaly wasn't funny enough to not think "God these people are retarded."
Maybe I just have a thing against morning shows. The only one I really ever liked was Dudley and Bob on KLBJ in Austin. Those guys could make me laugh in the mornings.
