Wow, am i ever in culture shock right now. As i speak to you, two guys are sitting behind me at a table smoking out.

I am JET LAGGED too, been up for 48 hours straight now, need sleep, no beer, sleep....

Man, here is some advice. I've been there plenty of times.

Check out the Grey Area (a block away from Anne Frank's house). They are American owned and have some of the finest bud in the NL. They created Double Bubble, Double Bubble 2001. The Wobbler and Yellow Cab are both excellent.

Also, the Greenhouse Effect (couple blocks from train station) has good product.

The Dampkring (little further south, sort of hard to find, looks like a ginger bread house from the outside) is an amazing place. If they have the White Russian, get it. Some great stuff there.

Last time I visited Amsterdam on Queen's day, was quite fun except the railways didn't anticipate that many people would turn up..
They didn't have enough trains to ferry the people out of Amsterdam and then just packed up shop and closed the trainstation for the day!
When the people realized they couldn't get back home they threw up quite a storm and the riot police had to be called in and they shot with
the teargas at the crowds.. The whole place was a mess! At least I was lucky that I could find accomodation for the night..

Still amazes me the next day I walked there again the whole place was spotlessly clean, like nothing happened the night before! All the
shattered windows and glass was cleaned up and fixed!

Whew, i slept for about 16 hours last night. Luckily, my jet lag is almost gone.

Its freakin awesome here, i love it so far. Kinda lookin foward to gettin into my apartment though and out of this hostel. Sharing a room with 19 people isnt that bad, its having 2 showers for the 19 people that sucks.

Right now im watching a German shepard pissing on a tree outside the window im sitting next to.

Its freakin cool that 95% of the taxi's are mercedes and the other 5% are BMW's and Audi's. Im also not used to seeing Peugots, VW Polos, Audi A3's, and tons of other cars that never make it to the states. I'll take craploads of pictures and get them up on aphexii.com asap.

I'll post a big update in a day or two when i get some more time on the computer.
