July 14th, 2003 and I still don't have my license. I was eligible for my license August 8th, 2002 and still I don't have it.

I'm never going to get it. 🙁

Bone saw!

Cut off a body part or two and it will perk you right up! You'll feel lighter and lightheaded!

...either that or study, practice, and pass. But that's no fun.

...But do you swallow? 😀

Seriously, buck up and keep trying. I flunked twice before I finally got my license. No, I didn't do anything REALLY bad, just made too many little mistakes that drove my point count down... 🙁

Good luck!

I don't know! I failed May 27th, permit expired a few days after and I just haven't driven since. I suck at backing up and am too nervous when I drive.

Well, I'm going to be 18 in October and I think I'll feel like a big loser w/o my license by then.

Get your permit again and keep practicing with an experienced driver in the car. Backing up is easy once you get the hang of it. For me, shifting without killing the engine was the hardest part of learning to drive.

Well, I like to be independent. I hate asking people for rides and I'd like to be able to drive myself to my next LAN or to see Freddy vs. Jason.

Society is telling you that you're supposed to get a license at the age of 16. Ignore it. I know people in their 60s that are just now getting the license.

I'm 20 and without my own car. I'm no less of a person for it.

Besides, I failed my first road test. I was in my mom's Ford Windstar, and I hit too many damn cones. (I still hate driving that thing.) The fact that it was an automatic didn't give me enough to concentrate on, and I had plenty of concentration left over to get nervous. It was also like trying to steer Noah's Ark compared to what I was used to. I later smoked the test in my dad's Jeep Wrangler, a smaller 5-speed manual. I drove his car a lot more often.

Try to see about borrowing an easier-to-drive car from somebody.

If I were you and failed the written test, I'd certainly feel ashamed, but to be nervous on a road test? That's quite human.

Edited the smiley. Cheer up.

Hah! My son is 21, doesn't have a driver's licence or learner's permit, and couldn't care less. He just isn't interested. He gets where he needs to go one way or another. I think part of it is that he doesn't want to see a big chunk of his paycheck going to pay all the expenses related to owning a car and driving.

Don't worry about it. You will pass the test when you are ready.

Hahaha I have my licence. I passed the driving test in drivers ed so I just got a waver and didn't have to take the test when i went to the DMV. 😛
