White bread with salami and mustard.
White bread with strawberry jam.
White bread with black forest ham & mustard.
Then there's the white bread with salami, black forest ham, lettuce, mustard, a bit of cheese and some mayonnaise. All properly separated, of course.

Can't go wrong with Lettuce, Turkey, Mayo, Mustard, Tomato, and Bacon. 1 piece of white bread, lettuce and turkey and mayo, 1 piece of white bread, mustard, tomato, bacon, 1 piece of white bread

It's really hard to make a "bad" sandwich, or to make one incorrectly. There are no set rules or anything. Just throw some stuff between two pieces of bread. Done.

I usually mix up my sandwiches, all on whole wheat. The only way to really screw up a sandwich is to mix up the meat or use the wrong dressing.

You cant fck one up. Its a matter of taste. Pick the type of bread you like and put "things" that you like in it.

white bread (well its dutch crunch, but pretty much white)
mustard
a little mayo
turkey
roast beef
provolone
avocado
tomato
lettuce
pepperoncini
onions
soemtimes they throw some italian dressing on
salt and pepper
sometimes oil and vinegar too.

its an amazing sandwich.

its usually around 4.89, or 5.89 if they charge for avocado, but sometimes they dont charge me for it.

I use to suck too, and had to choke down the pound of meat and veggies I put between the vread. Turns out that the mayo commercials really are right, without mayo, the thing is too dry and missing the neutral/sweet taste. Now, when I bother to make one, they are triumphs.

Is that the stuff that looks like a jar of blended fish? I never saw it before moving to Hawaii.

The key to making great sandwiches are the veggies. Vary textures and flavors with veggies. Everyone thinks that if they load a sandwich down with tons of meat and cheese it will be better than "wasting" space on veggy "fillers." Wrong, as a Chef with many years experience feeding people, I can tell you with some authority that veggies are the key. Try roasting or grilling the veggies or marinating them and mixing with raw veggies. You want both variety in textures and tastes.

Meats and cheeses should be of good quality so, don't buy prepackaged/sliced products. Also, beware of high priced, second rate products like Boarshead, Kraft and, anything with a celebrities endorsement.
