Um... why is everything subtitled if their message is:

Cable television service providing international programming to New Americans
and those who wish to maintain a connection to a homeland or heritage.

:Q

a lot of the stuff is still originally from the home country - i.e. korean dramas, the movies, etc.

they have some stuff that's produced by the second generations here in the US but i know i enjoy watching stuff from "the motherland" (well i watch more korean dramas, which is my bf's motherland, but they're SO good)

they used to be called the international channel. now it's the AZN channel UGH. I phokking hate the name w/ a passion. they have a ton of good shows from korea, china and such but the name phokking sucks.

also, the subs SUCK. they unbelievably suck. it's like dumbed down versions or something, it's really pathetic. I was watching a korean movie, and the subbing was too simplified, and didn't get the full msg across. it was annoying as hell. I saw some of the japanese movies, and fansubs groups do a far superior job.

I checked, and I guess it was the former "International Channel." I remember when I watched it at my grandmother's place since it had Hong Kong movies on the weekend. I did a little research, and AZN Channel is part of International Networks, LLC, "a wholly owned company of Comcast Corporation..." where AZN Channel "is the company's ad-supported channel that consists of programming that appeals to Asian American viewers. " (About Us for International Networks, LLC) Interesting.

I noticed that w/ a lot of dialogue screen, they only sub a few words, kinda weird.
