Hey guys, i just wanted to try to show how much I still like it 😀. It may get old to some, but there has still be a spark left in everyone...just waiting to be ignited by a new assimilation! I think distributed computing really gives people the chance to compete with others in many ways. Its cool to be able to have enough influence to run a small program on many computers that you don't even own or directly administrate. I know if I could get a few more cows, since I do RC5, in my herd, I would get excited!
Heres another thing I'm saying. I know if I really tried I could assimlate like mad. I know enough people, companies, and other organizations to be able to do so if I put forth the effort. Since the first time I ran the client, I have had a fascination with the idea of competing over computer power 🙂. Now, I also want to see this great TeAm and community achieve something great! I'm gonna try to make a commitment to assimilate and do whatever I can for the TeAm.
On another note, I may be reviving the Rockford Distributed Computer Effort project I introduce a while ago :Q. I still believe it has some possibility and could be very helpful to the TeAm. I can be very influencial, I just need something like a catchy site to help me out 😀. If the site looks good, would places really have many reasons to not be assimilated? I'l make a thread as soon as I feel ready to accomplish something again. I have a skeleton site made already, just to get an idea. So I may be asking for some help from anyone that could spare the time in the future.
So, if anyone else agrees that we could get some work done if we tried, great! Go out there and get 'em! Don't lose that feeling you know you've had. Even if you're like me and have lost time to spend in forums or anything else, just do what you can, we still love you 😀.
Come on, guys, we CAN and SHOULD make it to the top of contests and hold that spot 🙂.
