3 power chords give you goosebumps?

Fixed.

get over yourselves. i listen to some of the most complex music around, but i can still recognize that Nirvana is brilliant.

I wouldn't say brillaint, but it was close......

anyways....they act like just because it is not complex, it is not good. sometimes the simplist method is the most effective. not everyone can be that complex cluster fuck that is radiohead.

Nirvana was what I grew up on as a child. Along with Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. Around 2003-2004 was when I began to lose interest in modern music.

Alice in Chains was better than a whole lot of bands. Why can't more guys get ridiculously addicted to dope and write such incredible music? No, they're all screamo and shoot themselves instead, but without the marked improvement in songwriting. Damn you, drug war, damn you!

My favorite album of theirs. Their live shows must've been awesome. More raw and played faster... fucking great album.

well, drugs were prevalent in the 80's but look at that huge heap of shit, I just think good music comes every other decade.

70's amazing >> 80's shit >> 90's great >> 00's shit

Sure there are some good songs from the 80's and 00's but not many.

The haven't really sucked, they just haven't changed and progressed much at all.

I had a music teacher once who argued that we listen to the music that we listened to when we were in high school for the rest of our lives.

I've done my best to avoid that trap. lol. always boggled my mind how my dad could be happy listening to the same tired songs from the 60's over and over and over again, shut off to everything new that came out.

don't get me wrong, I've got my fair share of 90's alt rock on my ipod too, but I've committed to letting my nieces and nephews pick the radio stations in my car when they're older :)

same here, but I never really liked Nirvana. Smashing Pumpkins were more my style. Give me production, songwriting, awesome guitars!

Hells yeah, the smashing pumpkins are by far the greatest band ever. Nirvana are great but the pumpkins still rule.

pumpkins were good but really all just one dude.

I have a fucking awesome music collection...I wish I never sold off my tapes when I switched to CD...some I have not been able to replace (almost like my Klipsch Academy).

I have everything from classical to new age.

I find myself listening to a lot of metal / rap and then easy/old mostly.

This is mostly because many try to live vicariously on high school even though nothing really happened there for them. When most forget and would like to reminisce these tools are welcome fodder.
