On a related note, I run around 3 miles 4 times a week and for the life of me, I cannot avoid terrible side cramps on my right side. I've upped my potassium, drink tons of water, "belly breathe" and other techniques but I still get the cramping. My legs tend to hold up longer than my side pain actually. Starting to irritate the hell out of me.

Cramping ususally related to being dehydrated.

Drink more water.

I've been doing HIIT for 15 minute sessions 2-3 times a week for the past 3 weeks or so ... talk about tough running. That HIIT stuff is so much more freaking harder than it sounds.

I suggest riding your bike ;)

Massively lower 'impact', for a far higher scenery turnover = win

Bananas, water, milk, etc should all help with cramping. Get more fluids and electrolytes in you.

Of course, the BEST thing to do is stretch extensively before running.

LOL. :D

When I run, my thighs start to itch like mad. Needless to say, I don't run anymore.
