I started my new job today...

Belgian Waffler
Unfortunately I can't talk about it because I'm under NDA...

For a crappy $6.50/hr, I'm under NDA...

Wow.

$6.50 an hour? Wow, that's really a job to brag about.

Interesting, NDA usually deals with proprietary technical data, not name of the company or job title.😕

I'm most certainly not bragging. 🙁

It'll pay the rent, and that's the bare minimum I can ask for right now until someone gives me the light of day in the programming world again.

Technically, I suppose I can divulge - Solectron Global Services, I do telephone customer service. If you have a select output-only mechanical computer peripheral by a particular manufacturer (those two things I can't say), odds are you'll be calling me when one of those particular output-only mechanical computer peripherals malfunctions. 😀

Is that vague enough?

This seems to be a new thing. I interviewed recently at a Company that wanted me to sign an NDA and it was only a $12 Hr job. There was a lot of talk in the NDA for the normal things of Company info but also new wording that you cannot mention the Company name for fear of Terrorism under the patriot Act. The Company did deal with Radioactive Materials.

I never signed my NDA, but continued to work. But then they are bankrupt now... Too bad their idea sucked, it wasn't worth anything.

Umm, yeah, I'm not allowed to tell you what the special sauce is (thousand islands dressing)...

You could make a bit more money working fast food. No joke.

I had to sign non compete and NDA for Lucent. When they laid me off they did everything short of coming to my house and taking every piece of paper with the word Lucent on it.

Yeah... but this job comes with full medical, dental, and life insurances, on site cyber-cafe, full service restraunt, and lots of discounts around town... as if that was "perk" enough (not).
