How long did you wait before you powered it back up? You can try and put it in a bucket of uncooked rice and see if it absorbs the moisture (2-3 days). But chances are unless your warranty specifies accidental damage protection, you're going to be left out in the cold.

Lessons learned . . . 1. no open cup drinks near laptops. 2. If a spill occurs, completely remove all user removables including the keyboard - open the case and let it dry thoroughly for at least 2 days before trying it.

Powering on while there is moisture present in the case can cause any number of shorts and burnouts in the mobo.

take it apart, let it air dry for a few days. then use rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth to wipe down everything. this will remove any residue that could cause shorts.

yea dry dry dry
turning wet electronics on is the way to kill them:p
it can be either 100% back or 100% dead, sometimes it will just work and be flakey, never the same. just luck.
next time wait longer and dont power on a wet device so soon.
if you are lucky another day and it might dry further. thats really all you can do.
if something gets wet immediately remove power
take it apart as far as you dare
use desiccants or rice/dry mild heat
and patience

Was it straight green tea, or was there sugar in it also?

Remove the battery and let it dry.
