The video card (Radeon 9800) was bad, exchanged for new one, and all is working good 🙂

i got it at best buy for $299.99
i seem to be getting usb-par performace with it though
3dmark2001 SE i got 10180 points, it should be higher than that correct?
 
i figured out the problem. The memor aperature size was only set to 64MB, my new 3dmark score was 14777. lots better, i more pleased with that. All parts are running at stock speeds.
