Actually, some P3 700-ish machines did take Rambus. The Dell B733's come to mind.

The one Gateway PIII (w/ Intel mobo) I have left sitting around won't take some of my PC133 sticks (too high density) and complains about the ones it will take (something like "invalid SPD, memory will be run at 100MHz, press a key to continue").

He provides written, verifiable proof from his 'PC technician' that they don't work, then I'd consider it. Or if you can verify they're what you sold and he's not fobbing off old dead sticks he had laying around.

Either way, no refund until you have the sticks back and have verified their fault for yourself.

He's a tool that didn't know what he needed for his computer. He bought them, they're his now. Tell him to sell them if he wants his $$ back.

yup, I will wait for my ram before I consider it.
