So i've had my share of MRI's over the last 2 years. I thought today's would be better, brand new location (looked like a damn Spa), much nicer than any other place i've been.
Anyway, so this time my head was closer to the bore than the last two, so I had a lovely view of the inside of the MRI tube about 2-3" from my face. as I laid on my back (usually my head is just barely poking out the top, this time I was well inside)
25 minute scan, about 5 minutes in I had the overwhelming urge to sneeze. I managed to fend it off 3-4 times (5 minutes), but I finally lost control and let it rip.
Problem is, as I said earlier, I'm on my back inside a big long tube, with the MRI machine just inches from my face. Yep, you guessed it, sneezed straight up. Not only did it spray, but it "stuck" (if you catch my drift) directly above my face.
I had to sit in that godforsaken machine for another 15 minutes as gravity slowly did its dirty work (think Stalactite). I don't think i'll be able to get that image out of my mind for awhile, so gross.
Luckily, I suppose, I sneezed in the short break between scans, so it didn't mess up any images. The damn MRI tech was laughing his ass off when I came out.
