I smell an electrical smell when stress testing...

...should I be worried??? I've got my 2.26Ghz P4 running at 2.7Ghz. It got up to 43c and the case was at 25c. I was running Prime95 for about 3hrs straight with no hicups apart from the smell. Do you think I've caused any damage?

Power off and sniff everything, it's more than likely coming from the PSU. Is it new? Mine smelled a little weird at first, and if it's running with no smoke it might be something like that. That's just a guess, see what other folks say....

Probably just some smell coming off your powersupply. They are the stinkiest components when new....

I agree with the above....The smell wouldn't be noticeable unless you got right down to it???

Does he pS come with a sensor wire to plug into mobo that monitors temp and fan speed?? Some do...
