I see we have ACPI Experts Here, Pls help

I just put together a new rig (NF7-S, Barton, Corsair 3200LL) OS is win98se. Had a bunch of probs with the chipset drivers for 98. I believe all is OK with exception of the below Problem Device report from sys info. This appears to have baffled those in other forums (except for Jef, a very knowledgable fellow). I was seeking the driver the report says I need.... However, I been informed I don't need a driver. Can someone please help this poor nOOB.

Yeah not my tea either.

I can give you what code 9 means:
"this device is not working properly because the bios in your computer is
reporting the resources for the device incorrectly"

What bios version are you using, and are you using http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_win9x_2.41.html ?

ACPI is used in WinXP. NF7-2 chipset is for Win2000 and WinXP use only...... 😀

You turn off ACPI before you install the windows in the bios section............ 🙂
