I see that the Intel i815 motherboard is support under Linux. Does that mean all other i815 boards are to?

It specifices that the onboard Video, NIC, Sound for the Intel i815 boards are supported.

I'm looking at an AOpen i815 board will it be supported just as well as the Intel board (same chipset obviously)?

Mandrake 8 BTW.

Should work. I believe they are referring to the chipset only, which 'sort of' superceds the brand.

EDIT: I haven't had much luck with mandrake 8 (KDE kept losing my mouse wheel, it would "forget" that I had installed my Nvidia drivers and properly configured them upon logging off and back on...). Redhat 7.1 was a little more managable (if you are not a TOTAL newbie). Hopefully you will have more luck than I did.
