I see Redbox now has games.

I miss being able to pop into the video store after work to rent a game or two. PITA having to buy everything now, and trade the ones I didn't like. Nor do I want to lock into a subscription service like Gamefly. Hope this spreads.

They've had games for years now. They're probably going to avoid PS4 / XBone until those consoles have enough market penetration.

They don't want to waste storage slots in the machine for products that will just sit there, occupying space.

I'm guessing it differs by region. Redbox in my area has had video games for at least the past year, probably longer. They've had PS4 and XB1 games for the past few months.

The redboxes around me have tons of PS4 games and have since back in the PS3 days. FWIW I rented TLOU PS3 from redbox initially.

Right now redboxes within 1 mile of me have the following PS4 games:

Minecraft
W2k15
AC:Unity
Driveclub
Madden14
COD: AW
NBA2k15
Denstiny
LittleBigPlanet3

I also played Wolfenstein before Christmas for $8.

Redbox by me has games but nothing notable. They never have the new releases here. Not that they're out of copies, but they literally don't stock them by me.

They've had games forever. But yes, the selection is severely limited. Last one I saw had a Transformers game and nothing else.
