I screwed UP

I was checking my sony DVD RW Drive's cables because it wasn't being reconized by the computer or even physically working, when all of a sudden the computer shuts off and won't go back on. I don't think i shocked it because i felt nothing in the process. What am i, or SHOULD I do

My Computer's Specs
Case = Chenming Mid Tower
Motherboard = AU 31(micro ATX size)
nForce2
CPU = Athlon XP 3200+ Barton Core
PSU = Fortron 400W
RAM = 1GB
Harddrive = 120GB (total)
Intergrated Sound
Radeon X-700
Sony DVD ROM
Sony DVD RW (Secondary Slave)

eek. ok, i'll try to assist as much as possible but i am often away from the keyboard today so bear with me.

this is beside the point but did you have the system running when you were messing with the connections? tsk tsk! 😛

for now, turn everything off including the power switch on the back of the PSU and disconnect the power cable from the PSU. go back inside your case and ensure that all the connections are solid. you could have mistakenly disconnected something, so make sure that isn't the issue. when you are certain that all the connections are ok, plug in the power again and swicth on the PSU. try to power it up and see what happens.

uuummm i did have the power on while messing with it

ok its up and running
EXCEPT
i have no sound
i tried multiple speaker sets
and i already have the latest drivers

what should i do

are your speakers connected properly?

is your onboard audio enabled in BIOS?

Onboard is enabled
and i always double check to see if the speaker is in all the way
