My wife was looking for another book series because she finished the twilight books. She loved them.

I guess the Sookie Stackhouse Vampire mysteries series is a good one?

any others?

It's definitely a more mature series, but my wife and her sister loved them.

I don't get the whole vampire/werewolf culture, but my wife has been into that genre of books for years.

Did she read the Sookie Stackhouse series too?

Mine did. First she was obsessed with Twilight. Then after seeing True Blood she went out and bought all the Sookie Stackhouse books and blew through those in like a week.

Mine started with the Stackhouse books, then we started watching True Blood, and then she read Twilight :p

What I kept wondering throughout the entire moving while watching the girl that played Bella was "why the fuck do you keep shaking your head when you talk??????" Ugh that drove me nuts.

my gf was absolutely bonkers over the twilight series too. My friend read some articles about it and decided he wouldn't like it and my gf just couldn't believe it.
I've never read it, didn't see the movie with her and her friend and I don't give a frick one way or the other as long as she enjoyed it.

Given that I know jack about this movie / book, why is it so appealing to women?

My 12 year old niece love the book and movie. Thats the only person in my life that I know who saw it.

I'm trying to turn her onto The Grapes of Wrath instead.

Thanks for the inadvertant tip...Amazon has the first 7 books for $32 so I'm getting that for her. She liked the episodes that she saw of True Blood quite a bit.

My GF is reading the books. Even she doesn't like the long sections of girl porn where the main character obsesses over the vampire (or something, I have yet to read a single sentence out of it).

We went to the movie a few days after it came out. It was OK, kind of fun, kind of laughable. The creepy staring scenes at the beginning seemed pretty ridiculous. And apparently lying awake in someone's room watching them sleep all night long is supposed to be romantic?

Was the script written by FBB?
