I Saw They Might Be Giants last night

I've seen TMBG in concert three or four times and once again they did not disappoint. They played a good mix of old and new stuff and, as usual, were great with the fans. I'm not sure how many people were in attendance, but The House of Blues in Anaheim was pretty packed.

And as the topic summary implies, I think their music is often much better live than their studio recordings... casual listeners will walk away as fans.

Saw them last friday in Portland at the Bite of Oregon. It was great. I've been listening to them for almost 15 years, and they're just as good as ever. I've always liked their studio recordings.

Yeah, I saw them a few weeks back here in Omaha. Great show. It was pretty funny, both openers had people in the crowd yell out "Free Bird"
The first band (Common Rotation) played half of a verse. Corn Mo played pretty much the whole thing-by himself, with his accordion. People held up lighters. I was LMAO 🙂

Agreed.

Also one of the very few child-friendly concerts.

Yep. Friday night from 9:30 to 11pm. Five bucks "donation" at the gate.

I've seen them play for free in Buffalo many times.
Good band but I wouldn't pay over $10usd for them.

Yeah, there were probably about 4-5 kids under the age of 10 at this show. I was actually a little bit surprised, but not overly so. Crowd therefore consisted of people between the ages of ~6-7 to mid-60s I'd say. A slight amount of cursing from the first two bands, especially when Corn Mo went into his working-the-same-sh*t-job-forever-quit-and-play-music speech.
I took a friend who's only recently started listening to them, and we both plan on bringing our kids next time they're in Omaha/Lincoln.
