lucky you
i didnt see the sun at all this morning, as i drove down shitty backwards ass Marrietta,OK roads in the slush and sleet, omw to a client's location to fix what ended up being someone plugging a network cable, into the jack next to her desk.... a 25 foot cat5 cable.... running this cable across the room... and into the same drop/ jack that the giant lexmark copy machine/office printer.....thinking she would save (and somehow convinced her boss of this) their company a few bucks.. lol
(for those that aren't IT people, what she did is like, taking a network cable, and plugging one end into port 1 on your router/switch, and then taking the other end and plugging it into port 2 on your router/switch.... give it a try, see what happens

(it won't damage anything, it just effectively shuts your network down)
she was obviously trying to be able to print to the lexmark network printer on the other side of the room... as of now only the manager's machine, and 2 workstations have the printer properly configured and able to use the printer.
medical billing company btw
pretty sure i gained a potential worthwhile new client, and made 150 bucks for basically driving for 2 hours.
