So, I was switching the angle of my wireless antenna, and all of the sudden sparks shot out from underneath my wireless card. Now it won't start up.

Did I fry the Motherboard? Or do I just need to remove the wireless card? Or is the PSU gone? Can I RMA? Panic! (The board is 1 month old.

Take the wireless card out and try again.

That's how you will know if you did any major damage.

Depending on what went wrong I would try to RMA the device... If it was something you did however (bad hookup, pinched wire, etc) they wont cover it and you will need to replace on your own.

You can unplug the PSU from your mobo, and jumper the green and grey to force your PSU on. if your devices power up your PSU is probably good, you can check voltages with a DMM, but they might not be accurate without the load of the more power hungry devices (CPU/MOBO/vid card). You can then assume it is the mobo, but it would hurt to reseat everything/ flash CMOS, and try again after you have done the initial test.

If it doesnt turn on at all then you probably have a bad PSU. Have you tried unplugging the PSU? I had an old one that would not allow to PSU to power back on after a short circuit protection, until it was unplugged for a while.

It is the Antect True Power II EPS500 on a Tyan S2892.

If I short the pins on the PSU, am I voiding that warranty?

I don't think so, although I am pretty sure it was not designed to run without a load on the 20 pin mobo connector, that being said, I have an ATX PSU that I have been using to run 12v fans around here. It has been running for at least 5 days without any load on the 20 pin connector, just 4 fans on one of the 12v connectors. Haven't checked 3.3, or 5v, but I have a feeling they are fooked.

I thought that in order to jumper a power supply, you had to connect the Ps-on (green) to ground (black).

You do.

You also must have a load on the supply at the time; a hard disk will do fine.
