Oye ve! i've been in panasonic's headquarters for the last week doing some nice training.. and today we finally got a tour of hte building.. there were hundreds and hundreds.... AND hundreds of pcs... in one room alone... i couldnt even fathom a guess at how many they have total in their entire building... btw, that one room.. just just the support room for one set of products...

lol.. it would be beyond a pain in the ass... only like one pc per employee is networked.. and they are testing software/hardware setups on many many many many others.... they have to be able to support every version of every product since the beginning of time...

*sigh* I know what you mean. I took a tour of DeVry yesterday with MrFluffy, and saw several hundred PCs, just begging to run SETI. :Q

Although with signs stating "No Game playing" all over the place,, I suspect that DC projects aren't allowed either. 🙁

I was on a business trip this past October in AZ. 🙂 I was attending the national sales meeting for a large US corp. Part of the deal was doing onsite tech support for their sales people. At one point we had hundreds of Fujitsu Lifebooks and at least 100 Toshiba Satellites all stacked up waiting to be looked at. One of us took a picture of it all, but I never got a copy of it. 🙁 They may have only been laptops, but DAMN was it a sight to see. There was probably about 3,000ghz of power sitting in that room. 😀

I wish I was still in school
they bought 100 pIII 933's last year... all networked....
atleast 400-500 machines in the school total :frown:
