Well just because it's not picking up that fast doesn't mean it's a failure. No device, especially at $5000, will flood the market instantaneously. Also, just because you can't justify paying that much for it doesn't mean it's not worth it for some people - remember, here at anandtech we buy computer parts that depreciate faster than dotcom stocks. 🙂

Hopper, what is up with you and the yuppie comments?? are you a hippie or something? didn't the term yuppie die the in 80s or are people like you still proliferating that stupid acronym?...personally even if I had an extra 5k to spend (which I do) the last thing on my list would be a Segway....maybe I would buy a nice yuppie 50" TV, or another yuppie Rolex, or maybe a nice piece of jewelery for my yuppie fiancee, or a nice yuppie vacation to the bahamas....is everything expensive in your mind "yuppie"? thanks
 
I can't believe that is the first one you saw! Everyone I know has one. Of course, I live in the City of the Future, and the entire city was designed for Seagway transportation. You should move here. Of course, you could just wait since soon all cities will be redesigned to more properly utilize this revolutionary new method of transportation.
