I went to an ice skating birthday party for one of my kids' friends. Standing nearby was this HUGE guy wearing a spiked leather jacket and leather pants. I kept glancing at him to get a load of his outfit when I realized he looked just like Jose Canseco!

It turns out that one of our other friends was in the party that this guy was in and she confirmed that it was, in fact, Jose. He is the boyfriend of the birthday kid's mom, who was also mostly in leather (and, after she switched out of her skates, knee-high boots!).

My friend said that she sees him at various functions with this circle of friends and none of the parents like him because, basically, he is an a-hole.

Again, he is freaking huge!! I am 6'3", 240 lbs, and I felt small.

I only had my phone to take pictures with, so they suck. Also, unfortunately, the angle does not give you good perspective of how big he is, but I was trying to be coy so as to not get my ass kicked by "RoidBoy and his Leatherettes":

I'd be an asshole, too, if people just talked behind my back all night, took pictures of me with their cell phone, and never actually spoke to me. Your pictures come across as creepy and weird, the guy is just another human being.

I try not to impose myself on celebrities in public, since they are just another human being. All the pictures I have of myself with famous people are at events that call for such things (the celeb knows that theya re going to be photographed with the public).

I see famous people all the time and I usually do not take their pictures, it was his overwhelming size that got me interested in taking his picture.

I would have, except I try to not bother famous people when they are out in public.

I remember him spanking the "Joes" on Pros vs Joes. He was hitting homers into the stand like nothing... oh and did I mention he was using his dick as the bat? That's pertinent information.

Acording to This page He is 6'4" 240lbs. I am about the same as you, 6'3" 240ls, I don't consider anyone huge till they hit 6'6", maybe he had some thick soled boots on.

He looked significantly taller than me, so I guess he was wearing heels ;)

I am tired, so my sarcasm meter could be malfunctioning:

I am not in either picture.

I was a big fan of his back in the bash days with McGwire and he crushing balls - their batting practice sessions were worth the price of admission.

Agreed. I saw Jose and McGwire hit monster home runs on consecutive pitches against the KC Royals in the 1st inning of a game back in the . Think Kevin Appier was pitching.

When you compare pictures of them from 1987 with pictures of them later in their career, the 1987 versions look like little kids. (Bonds is the same way.)

Gee, I wonder what could have done that?

A thing that was interesting for Canseco was his power and speed. He was often in the 30/30 (HR/Steals) club and first in the 40/40. Now watching him pitch however... was painful...

Didn't he get pulled over once because he put jet fuel in his sports car and was tear-assing around San Fran?
