I saw 'In Bruges" today

ive probably seen this movie at least 4 times in the past few weeks and its right now battling it out with 'iron man' for my top movie of the year. great dialog and an actual surprisingly good performance by colin farrell. which is saying a lot since he's sharing screen time with fiennes and the usually solid gleeson (sorry brendan, but 'lake placid' was on cable last night).

i bumped this thread in hopes that more people give this movie a fair shake. it was released on limited screens here in the states and had a horrible trailer created for it, but dont let that fool you as its a well made movie that i deemed worthy of a couple repeat viewings.

Saw it in the theatre a few weeks ago. Great movie. Compelling story, excellent acting.

Not a huge Farrell fan, but I thought he was excellent in this. Fiennes was brilliant as always.

Highly recommended!

It was an excellent movie. I was surprised beause Farrell has a knack for ruining everything he's in, but this movie was fantastic.

Another bump for this thread. I saw this movie a week ago and it's one of the best films of the year imo. The dialogue was just excellent.

We watched it last week and enjoyed it very much. I just happened to come across it in Netflix, otherwise I hadn't heard of it before.

anybody watch the deleted scenes on the dvd? explains a lot of stuff left out of the movie. a flashback of ken and his wife, a flashback of when harry went to bruges as a child, and how ray gets prepared for his date (its awfully similiar to what i go through before a big date 😀 ).

What a great movie that was...I didn't want to bump this thread after I originally watched it, but I guess that's been done for me!

"I wouldn't go up there; it's really narrow."

I saw it a couple weeks ago, truly a fantastic film. It wasn't at all what I was expecting, but the dialogue really delivered, and Colin Farrell was actually good in it. Plus it's got a little midget! I mean dwarf!

I rented this on iTunes before flying overseas for work based on this thread pretty much. I agree, it was a very good flick. Definitely a good balance of comedy, violence, etc

I think that a lot of people would actually like him as an actor if they saw some of his smaller or earlier work. I've always liked the guy...plus, he was on Scrubs 😀

didn't care much..yea yea watch collin farrel "act"..the rest was pretty predictable i'm a quirky saddos hitman bs.

the movie didn't slow down and the acting was good, but that was about it.

There was no story and the movie was just a bunch of random super unfair events strung together. An innocent manboy get killed, a man who follows the rules dies, and a good for nothing dipshit skirts by on the misfortunes of others.
